How the rewards calculator works

  1. 1Enter your estimated monthly spend across eight categories: dining, groceries, gas, travel, online, entertainment, transit, and everything else.
  2. 2Select one or more credit cards from the live Flo catalog (1,000+ cards).
  3. 3The OneCard engine annualizes your spend, applies each card's category earn rates, adds stated credits and perks, and subtracts the annual fee.
  4. 4Compare net annual value side by side — the transparent number that shows what each card is actually worth for your wallet.

What is net annual value?

Net annual value is Flo's headline metric: projected annual rewards plus credits and perks, minus the annual fee. It answers the question most card marketing avoids — after fees and realistic benefits, how much is this card worth per year on your spend?

Our calculator uses live earn-rate snapshots from the OneCard catalog, not static marketing copy. When Chase updates Sapphire Preferred dining multipliers, the calculator reflects it on the next catalog sync.

When to use this vs. other tools

Use the rewards calculator when you want to model your full spend profile across multiple cards. For a single purchase, try the Best Card for a Purchase tool. To rank the entire catalog, use the Wallet Optimizer. For head-to-head matchups, use Side-by-Side Compare.

FAQ's

  • Projected annual rewards on your spend, plus stated credits and perks, minus the annual fee. Every figure comes from the OneCard catalog and the math runs on Flo servers, not in your browser.

  • Yes — public calculators call the same OneCard engine as the app. Identical inputs produce identical outputs.

  • No. They are projections built on the spend you enter and the issuer terms in the catalog. Your actual return depends on how you use the card and on terms the issuer can change.

  • Yes — every card review page carries this calculator with that card already selected.
